Stephen Allinson, Consultant at Lester Aldridge, has been appointed Chairman of the Joint Insolvency Examination Board.
The Joint Insolvency Examination Board oversees the examination and appointment of new Insolvency Practitioners. The role is also pivotal at a time when there is much discussion surrounding the current licensing, authorisation and regulation of Insolvency Practitioners, including on-going consultation at Parliamentary level.
“I am delighted to have been chosen for the appointment, having served as Vice Chairman for several years now, particularly as I am the first Solicitor to hold this position since its inception,” Stephen says. “The role of Insolvency Practitioners is very much in the public arena so I will be working hard to ensure that the right standards and criteria are undertaken for those wishing to obtain this qualification.”
